The Mexican-origin actor advocated heavily on social media for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. She called for the cease of the “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “(conditions) like a concentration camp” in her posts.

Following her firing, a Spyglass spokesperson cleared the allegations that her dismissal was due to her pro-Palestine stance saying, “Spyglass’ stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.

Melissa retaliated later posting, “First and foremost I condemn Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I condemn hate and prejudice of any kind against any group of people.”

In her latest statement during the festival, she recalled the discharge event in good graces stating to the Associate Press, “Honestly, I feel like I finally am becoming who I am supposed to be in life. The last three months have been awakening of that……… “I’m just so grateful for everything that’s happened.”

Following Melissa’s departure, Jenna Ortega also exited from the series. Her reason for it was told to be due to her shooting of ‘Wednesday‘. However, the Hollywood Reporter believes the reason was pay disputes.
