Luca Guadagnino is back with another Timothée Chalamet starrer! The duo collaborated in 2017 for the Oscar-winning summer romance ‘Call Me By Your Name.’ However, this time it is a gory, cannibal narrative that he is bringing to the screens.
The timing of the film’s trailer and Armie Hammer’s, who worked with Luca, docuseries is similar. The film is an adaption of Camille DeAngelis’ novel of the same name. Nevertheless, the trailer has been released and the fans cannot get over Chalamet’s performance in the trailer.

“The Movie For Me Is A Meditation”: The Director On Timothée Chalamet’s Cannibal Film
Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Bones And All’ has released the trailer of the film. The film had a screening at the Venice Film Festival this year. The Timothée Chalamet starrer received a standing ovation of eight-and-a-half minutes. In the early reviews for the film, The Guardian wrote, “cannibal romance is a heartbreaking banquet of brilliance” with five stars.
After watching the trailer, there is no doubt about the brilliance that Luca has created on the screen paired with some of the heart-wrenching performances by Taylor Russell, Timothée Chalamet, Michael Stuhlbarg, Chloë Sevigny and others.
The story is about two young lovers Maren and Lee, who deal with poverty, hunger, and disenfranchisement with an obsession with cannibalism. In an official statement, Luca said, “There is something about the disenfranchised, about people living on the margins of society, that I am drawn toward and touched by. I want to see where the possibilities lie for them, enmeshed within the impossibility they face.”
The director also explained the purpose of the film and what it means for him: “The movie is for me a meditation on who I am and how I can overcome what I feel, especially if it is something I cannot control in myself. And lastly, and most importantly, when will I be able to find myself in the gaze of the other?”
