But The Fast saga adds more than the boy’s club and that is the smart female characters who have contributed to the franchise just more than their dazzling looks. The ‘Fast and Furious‘ franchise revolves around illegal car races, money heists, families, and spies.
Since 2001, the ‘Fast and Furious‘ saga has been interesting, with Dom and his crew engaging in illegal car races and flexing their tones muscles but not to forget, the success of the franchise should be credited to these smart female characters.

10. Monica Fuentes
Monica Fuentes played by Eva Mendes first appeared in ‘2Fast 2Furious’ and in a cameo role in the Fast Five. She works as a US customs undercover agent whose motive is to take down the Argentinean drug lord, Carter Verone. In the ‘Fast Five‘, it is Fuentes who reveals to Luke Hobbs that Letty is still alive.
Since the disappearance of Vin Diesel from ‘2Fast 2Furious‘, fans have been disappointed with this particular franchise. But Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson’s chemistry somehow saved the film from drowning.
9. Officer Elena Neves
First appeared in the Fast Five, Officer Elena Neves is portrayed by Elsa Pataky. She was selected as Luke Hobbs’s partner only because she is the only cop in the entire Rio de Janeiro without any history of acquiring bribes from local criminals. She reprised her role as Elena Neves even in ‘Fast & Furious 6‘, ‘Furious 7‘ and ‘The Fate of the Furious‘.
An interesting backstory of Officer Elena Neves on becoming a corrupt free cop. The reason she can’t be corrupted is that she’s in it for more than money because her cop husband’s death in the line of duty motivated her to join the force and fight crime.
8. Agent Riley Hicks
Agent Riley Hicks was introduced as Luke Hobbs’ associate in ‘Fast & Furious 6‘. She works with him at the Diplomatic Security Services and the two are assigned to bring down Owen Shaw’s criminal establishment. Gina Carana reprised the role of the corrupt agent Riley Hicks.
However, the movie’s surprising twist reveals Hicks to be a double agent secretly working with Shaw. Shockingly neither Luke Hobbs nor Dom Toretto could see it coming.
7. Ramsey
Ramsey reprised by Nathalie Emmanuel was first introduced into the franchise in ‘Furious 7‘ and expanded her role in every other mainline ‘Fast & Furious‘ film. She is an ace hacker who created God’s Eye and a crucial member of Dom’s crew. Unlike most of Dom Toretto’s crew, Ramsey is strong-willed and a hard-headed person
Before joining The Fast Saga, Nathalie Emmanuel made her big break in the TV series Games of Thrones and back to ‘Maze Runners‘ franchise.

6. Gisele Yashar
Long before known for her role as Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot portrayed the role of Gisele Yasher was first introduced in 2009 ‘Fast & Furious‘. She initially is introduced as a liaison working for drug kingpin Arturo Braga, but she joined Dom’s crew after he saved her life and started dating Han Lue.
Sadly, Gisele Yashar was killed off in 2013’s ‘Fast & Furious 6‘, despite an incredible character arc. From being portrayed as a one-dimensional sex object to playing a central character, Gisele Yasher contributed a lot to Dom’s crew.
5. Cipher
Hands down, Cipher is the most powerful villain of the ‘Fast & Furious‘ franchise to date. Played by Charlize Theron, Cipher first appeared in the’ Fate of the Furious‘. She kidnaps Elena Neves and her son Marcos and used them as leverage to get Dom to betray his crew and steal important components. She is the master tactician and was able to steal the God’s Eye device.
Charlize Theron is the first actress to play the role of a central antagonist in the ‘Fast and the Furious‘ franchise. And previously many actors like Tom Selleck, John Goodman, Natan Lane, and many more were considered for the role of Male Cipher.
4. Mia Toretto
Mia Toretto is the sister of the Fast Saga protagonist, Dom, and the wife of the deuteragonist Brian O’Conner. Portrayed by Jordana Brewster, Mia Toretto has been a crucial member of the crew. She started as a cop to uncover her brother’s criminal activities, and then she joins his criminal lifestyle along with her husband.
After the untimely death of Paul Walker Mia’s character was sidelined. But luckily, the producers have figured out how to revive her into the franchise and she returned in ‘F9‘.
3. Hattie Shaw
Hattie Show played by Vanessa Kirby is an MI6 agent who teams up with Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw to take down the superhuman villain Brixton Lore. She was initially loyal to the law and her country, but she disowned her family due to their decision to turn rogue and become criminals.
Hobbs and Shaw expanded the show clan even more by introducing Hattie Show, as Owen and Deckard show’s sister. The mainline Fast Saga, already introduced the fans to Owen and Deckard Shaw.
2. Letty Ortiz
Wife of Dominic Toretto, the role of Letty Ortiz is played by Michelle Rodriguez, and has been a loyal member of the crew since the beginning. Rodriguez is also responsible to deliver some of the franchise’s one-liners.
She volunteered to go undercover to expose Arturo Braga for the FBI. During that mission, she was nearly killed and suffered from temporary amnesia. But she was later reunited with her family when Luke Hobbs of the Diplomatic Security Service recruited Dominic Toretto and his crew to stop Owen Shaw.
1. Magdalene Shaw
Magdalene Shaw was introduced to the fans in the eighth film of the Fast&Furious as the Shaw family matriarch. Played by the most respected actor in the world-Helen Mirren. She personally asked Vin Diesel for the role. Magdalene first appeared in ‘The Fate of the Furious’, and then in Hobbs and Shaw. She later reprised the role of Magdalene Shaw ‘F9‘ and she will also be seen in the upcoming ‘FastX‘.
Magdalene is known to put her family above everyone else and desperately seeks to put her family back together. She is referred to as Queenie.
