X-Men Movie Is Set To Be Marvel’s Another Female-Centric Project
An X-Men movie in the MCU was long overdue after Disney acquired the Fox Studios. It has been reported that Marvel has already started working on an X-Men movie. According to an insider, the movie will focus on female superheroes.
The X-Men has some iconic characters in its faction. Unlike the OG Avengers, this team has multiple female characters who don’t play side-fiddle but are very important to the group.
With characters like Jean Grey(Phoenix), Storm, Rogue, Emma Frost, Jubilee and more, Marvel can actually “cook” a good mutant movie. However, given the past female-centric projects of the MCU, fans are unhappy with the X-Men movie joining this list.

Fans Upset With Rumored Direction Of Mutants Movie
In the past, Marvel has released multiple projects that primarily focused on female characters of the franchise. However, the majority of the projects were not well received by the audience. Projects like ‘Black Widow’, ‘She-Hulk’, ‘The Marvels’, etc. were heavily bashed by the fans.
Now after the rumour of of X-Men being another female-centric project, fans are voicing their displeasure with the alleged news.
Despite all this noise, some fans are hopeful about this movie. The main reason for these projects failing was the treatment given by Marvel. If you see the projects like She-Hulk or The Marvels, the writing of the movie was not up to the mark.
In addition to that, characters like She-Hulk, Black Widow, Kate Bishop, Ms Marvel and Shuri are popular however, they do not have the commercializing factor. However, Jean Grey, Storm, Mystique, and Rogue have that.
So female characters taking charge in the X-Men movie will not be as bad as the previous projects. But at the end of the day, it will boil down to the treatment by Marvel.
