After the Chiefs win, the news gracing the headlines is that the 42-year-old Grammy winner just announced her new album ‘Act II’ which is set to hit the airwaves on March 29. This new project is Queen Bey diving into the country creaks to explore her heritage. The sentiment can be seen in the first two singles the singer released. Paying homage to her home state by titling them ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ‘16 Carriages.’

The titles alone are enough to evoke the spirit of the Lone Star State. The new Beyonce album will bring a country-infused vibe that fans have never experienced from the global icon.

But was this announcement truly out of the blue? We don’t think so. Beyoncé, the master of surprises, may have left breadcrumbs for the fans to follow. Looks like the singer had already stepped into her country star era even before announcing the album. If you take a look at the former Destiny’s Child member’s Grammy look you’ll find her in a bolo tie and a wide-brimmed, white cowboy hat. That look alone suggests that her country phase has been in the works for a while.

The queen of pop who is now going country wasn’t alone in her grand Super Bowl spectacle. Her husband Jay-Z along with their daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi enjoyed the announcement with a dash of football game.

After a tantalizing attempt to break the internet with her Verizon Super Bowl ad, Beyoncé proved once again that she reigns supreme in the realm of her music. Alongside the album announcement, the ‘Run the World’ singer teased fans with a sneak peek video of ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’. It’s safe to say that the Bey Hive is buzzing with excitement at the moment.

The reaction on social media was swift and passionate. “TEXAS BAMAS RISEEEEEE,” declared one ecstatic fan, while another  exclaimed, “MOTHER IS MOTHERING.”

The Beyoncé fandom is already in formation, eagerly counting down the days until March 29.
