Did Nicki Minaj Shade Beyoncé On New Song ‘Press Play’? BeyHive Is Dissing The Rapper

The trifecta of strong black women—Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, and Beyoncé—have been dominating the music industry. The trio has collaborated with RiRi collaborating with Queen Bey on ‘Bad B***h’, and ‘Fly’ with Nicki Minaj. Queen Bey and the queen of rap have collaborated on ‘Feeling Myself’. However, a recent song released by the ‘Chun-Li’ rapper has allegedly dissed Beyoncé.

Nicki Minaj released her new studio album ‘Pink Friday 2’ five years after ‘Queen’. The album has been well received by the audience, with the Lil Uzi Vert feature ‘FTCU’ topping the charts and trending on social media platforms. She also released the Gag City Pluto Edition of the album with new songs with Future titled ‘Press Play’ which has a Beyoncé verse that the BeyHive feels disses the ‘Formation’ singer.

A new song by Nicki Minaj with Future has caused stan wars on the internet! The rapper released ‘Press Play’ featuring Future on the Gag City Pluto Edition of ‘Pink Friday 2’. In the song, there is a verse that goes, “They say why can’t you be-yonce, Daddy wasnt no business man, mama wasn’t no business owner.”

In the ‘Press Play’ lyrics, Nicki Minaj addresses the comparison that people make between her and Beyoncé. She says that, like Beyoncé, she has not come from an affluent background, but still, she has made a name for herself by coming on her own. However, BeyHive has taken offense over the lyrics, and they are attacking Minaj on Twitter, aka X.

This is not the first time that Nicki Minaj’s lyrics have created controversy. In Doja Cat’s remix of ‘Say So’, Minaj had lyrics that go, “With all the fillers in your face, you just full of hate. That real a** ain’t keep your n***a home. Now you lookin’ silly, that’s the word to silicone.”

Initially, it was thought that Nicki Minaj’s lyrics dissed Wendy Williams, who criticized Minaj for dating Kenneth Petty. When the ‘Anaconda’ rapper refuted the claims, fans jumped on the train, speculating the lyrics hinting at Beyoncé. Now, the rapper has again come under fire for alleged lyrics dissing the ‘Break My Soul’ singer.

Usually, it is just stans being overly protective about their favorite artists, but there may be a behind-the-scenes feud that may have ignited Nicki Minaj to write the lyrics.
