Elon Musk has been putting his best efforts into revamping Twitter, aka X, since he bought the platform in a historic $44 billion deal. However, he has been faced with obstacles that have obstructed the revenue growth of the platform. The value of X has plummeted with the reduced advertisement revenue since Musk took over the platform. So, the billionaire has been devising policies and plans for increasing revenue.
Elon Musk first implemented a subscription plan for users to enjoy certain exclusive features for $8 per month. He also helped the content creators monetize on the platform through advertisement revenues. Musk has been urging broadcast journalists to have their channels on X. The first person to do so was Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. Recently, he asked Taylor Swift to upload concert videos and music directly on X, following the release of ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’.
