Halsey is teasing their new song ‘Lucky‘ which samples Britney Spears’ song of the same name from her sophomore album. In the clip shared by Halsey, they sing, “But I’m so lucky, I’m a star, but I cry, cry, cry in the lonely heart thinking, if there’s nothing missing in my life, then why do these tears come at night.”

Sharing it on social media, the singer wrote, “When I was 5, it always felt like Britney was singing directly to me. 24 years later, these words hit different. love you forever.”

Britney’s song is about an actress who, despite having fame money and success, feels miserable. Halsey’s song too, might be based on a similar situation.
