In an Instagram story, Lizzo typed out a paragraph talking about the effect constant trolling has on her. “I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it,” Lizzo wrote.

She called out people for spreading lies about her and constantly making fun of her appearance. “I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views.… Being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look. My character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name. I didn’t sign up for this shit. I Quit,” the singer concluded.

Ever since the allegations against her, Lizzo has been under constant scrutiny. Despite her recent post a lot of people were quick to troll Lizzo again and deem her as guilty without any concrete proof. “Oh please she really thinks the hate is cuz of how she looks?? no girl I think it’s more cuz YOU are body-shaming and sexually harassing other people. She’s a total fraud and she knows it, that’s why she quit.” A user on X commented.
