Justin Timberlake had bad blood going with the word “driving.” The singer was arrested for driving intoxicated (DWI) in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident also involved him refusing to take the breath analyzer test.
A lot of things happened meanwhile including his driving license getting suspended and him failing various sobriety tests. But it all came to a peaceful (not so) end after the singer was ordered to pay 500$ as a fine to charity.
Justin Timberlake Is Finally Free From His Drunk Driving Case
Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty this Friday to a reduced charge in a drunk driving case in Sag Harbor, N.Y., and was ordered to pay $500 and perform community service. Timberlake pleaded guilty to “driving while ability impaired,” which is a violation under New York law.
Justin Timberlake told the judge according to the associated press: “I did not live up to the standards that I try to hold for myself. “I should’ve had better judgment… I understand the seriousness of this.”

His license has already been suspended. The judge also sentenced Timberlake to 25-40 hours of community service at a non-profit, and ordered him to pay “public safety announcement.” He fulfilled the obligation by making a brief statement to the press corps outside the courthouse after the hearing.
Justin Timberlake Spreads Awareness About The Incident
The singer also shared awareness so that fewer people make the same mistake. He said, “Even if you had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There’s so many alternatives. Call a friend, or take an Uber. There are many travel apps. Take a taxi. This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever’s watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”
Timberlake entered the village courthouse surrounded by the local police, who had a gauntlet of photographers and reporters. The singer. 43, was arrested in June when he was stopped by the officers. The arresting police officer said that his eyes were “bloodshot” and “glassy.”

Timberlake’s attorney Ed Burke refused all the allegations and denied that his client was drunk. “The most important fact to know about this case is that Justin was not intoxicated and should not have been arrested for DWI“, he said.
