Selena Gomez Responds To Plastic Surgery Allegations
The singer is once again responding to people on social media claiming that she has had plastic surgeries on her face as she commented under a post speculating that she has procedures done to her face.
The 32-year-old singer was active on TikTok and engaged with one video where content creator Marissa Barrionuevo was requested to discuss what surgeries Selena Gomez has done to her face. In her series, Barrionuevo, a medical assistant in a plastic surgery practice, compares pictures of famous people before and after they undergo cosmetic procedures.
Gomez wrote, “Honestly I hate this. I was on stripes because of flare up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.” Marissa then responded, “I adore you. I really do mean the best, so I apologize if this rubbed you the wrong way in any way whatsoever.”
Gomez replied to that and wrote, “I love you. Not about you. I just get sad sometimes.”
The video was also captioned: “Although I always try to lead with grace and mindfulness, I am sorry this upset you (and I understand why it did). I decided to stop making videos like this last year because of the negative impact it can cause. It was never my intention.”

Selena Gomez’s Stance On Body Positivity
As the CEO of Rare Beauty, a brand that stands for people feeling positive and confident in their own skin, Gomez has often spoken up about and against body shaming and how it affects people, including her to read mean things about herself on the internet.
In 2019 she had opened up about her fluctuating weight because of Lupus and had said, “I experienced [body-shaming] with my weight fluctuation for the first time. I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues, and for me that’s when I really started noticing more of the body image stuff.”
She then added, “I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful And yeah, we have days where maybe we feel like s**t, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself and my medications are important, and I believe they are what helps me.”
Selena is a true inspiration on how to hold your own when the world tells you to be another way.
