Taylor Swift dropped a lot of revelations in her new interview with Time magazine, giving us an insight into her life on tour, her songwriting process and the hurdles she overcame to reach where she is.
Time‘s ‘Person Of The Year’ also chose to talk about her new romance with Travis Kelce, and subtly threw some shade at Joe Alwyn. Here’s what she said.
Taylor Swift Shades Joe Alwyn
Taylor Swift gushed about her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the interview. But what caught Swifties off guard was the subtle shade she threw at Joe Alwyn as well.
She started by talking about Travis and her dynamics, and added, “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she says. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Her statement definitely seems like a shade towards Joe with whom she had a very private relationship for six years. It seemed like she was referencing her and Joe’s relationship and comparing it to what she has with Travis now.
She then talks about hidng away from the world and says, “Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
In the Time interview, she also talked about the public attention she gets and how she has now started to feel okay with it. This is a reference to all the rumors of Joe and Taylor breaking up because he couldn’t deal with her public image. Taylor seemingly sent a message to Joe and said, “Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter. Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.”

It’s official. Joe Alwyn is the most hated Taylor Swift ex-boyfriend of all time. Fans have been flooding social media with memes and hate on Alwyn, many even sending death threats and hate mail and basically just canceling him.
The reason? Taylor dropping ‘You’re Losing Me’ which is not yet confirmed to be about him and also subtle hints in her Time interview about him.
