The rapper Drake is returning to his sonic roots, but not everyone is feeling good about it, especially Halle Berry. Drake’s recent collaboration with SZA has taken the fans by surprise. The duo recently teased the collaboration on their respective Instagram handles, before releasing the single track on Friday finally.
In October 2020, Drake revealed that he had previously dated SZA in 2008. However, SZA confirmed their past relationship, stating that they actually dated in 2009. Nearly three years after the revelation, the two artists have reunited for some groovy tracks. Drake’s recent release ‘Slime You Out‘ teased the raunchy groove by sharing its cover art on Instagram: a photo of Halle Berry covered in green slime. But, she is not happy about it.

Drake’s latest release titled ‘Slime You Out‘ in collaboration with his ex-SZA featured a green-slime-covered photo of Halle Berry from a 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. For a reason, embarrassing pictures of your past should remain buried! Although it seems to be a very appropriate image for the title, Berry finds it inappropriate. She revealed that Drake did not get her consent for the image and that he has now disappointed her with his decision.

Disenchanted with the image, Halle Berry posted a message on her Instagram handle saying, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy … even if you’re a woman!” When asked about her opinions of the image used, the ‘Catwoman’ star expressed her disapproval replying, “Didn’t get my permission. That’s not cool I thought better of him! When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on.”

Fans Gather To Support Halle Berry Over Drake’s Insensitive Actions
With Drake’s recent picture promoting his latest work along with his ex-SZA, fans expressed their support for the Oscar-winning actress in the comment section. One user wrote that Halle Berry is an “international treasure” and that Drake’s use of her face for his promotional material wasn’t “cool”.
Drake and the ‘Die Another Day’ actress in fact shared a friendly relationship. Both the celebrities showed support at their peak. In 2019, Drake publicized Halle’s James Bond character by wearing a jacket featuring Jinx Johnson. Berry reciprocated the support by wearing a shirt in context with Drake’s song ‘Blessings’. But now that the ‘God’s Plan’ singer has posted a slime-covered picture of Berry, will the disappointed actress reciprocate the same love or will this be an epic start to a slime war?
