Austin Richard Post, aka Post Malone, has made waves in the music industry ever since his 2015 debut single, ‘The White Iverson.’ This tattooed artist with a multi-hued vocal prowess has created a union of genres and refuses to be boxed in.

The ‘Sunflower’ Hitmaker Talked About Johny Cash

Post Malone, who was coming off the release of his latest studio album ‘Twelve Carat Toothache,’ later in the podcast, talked about the extent of his smoking habit. The rapper revealed he used to go through four packs a day before cutting it down to 40-45.

On asked if he had any qualms about his smoking hurting his singing voice, Malone turned the hosts’ attention to legendary Johny Cash, saying, “Yeah, it definitely has. But I mean, Johnny Cash smoked his whole life. He sounded cool, you know?”

Post Malone was referring to Johnny Cash, known for his deep baritone vocals, which had a soothing effect on his listeners. Malone also talked candidly about his readiness for the apocalypse, mental health, being a novice ghost hunter, and his relationship with Justin Bieber.
