Harry Styles has emerged as a force in music as well as fashion. After separating from the boy band One Direction, he has gone on a solo career. Styles, amongst other members, had a glorious solo career. Along with music, he has emerged as a tour de force when it comes to androgynous fashion. Due to his gender bending fashion, Styles came on board with Gucci due to the similarity of visions between him and Alessandro Michele, the ex-creative director of Gucci.
The two collaborated for 2019’s Camp theme at the Met Gala. Harry wore a sheer black top with pants freeing the nipple! But, they continued their avant-garde partnership with their recent collaboration on 70s inspired themes with a campaign titled ‘HA HA HA’. On the campaign, Harry, in his ever charming playful way, posed for the pictures with a wardrobe containing pastel shades of pants, boots, accessories, and shirts. Why People Took Offense With New Harry Styles And Gucci Collaboration?
Since Alessandro Michele met Harry Styles, the two have been a force in fashion who has taken the baton of androgynous fashion forward. The ex-creative at Gucci have styled Harry for many shows and concerts. After becoming the face of Gucci, the two dreamt of creating a wardrobe together. The dream manifested with their ‘HA HA HA’ campaign. In June 2022, Michele said, “Harry has an incredible sense of fashion”.
He revealed the inspiration behind the campaign, “I proposed creating a ‘dream wardrobe’ with him, starting from those small oddities that come together in childlike visions. We ended up with a mix of aesthetics from 1970s pop and bohemian to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring”.
However, this dream collaboration has come under fire with their new campaign pictures. On December 11th, 2022, Gucci’s Instagram page uploaded pictures from the new ‘HA HA HA’ collection. The ‘As It Was’ artist was seen wearing a shirt with an angry bear and “I want more berries and that summer feeling” written on it. In one of the pictures, he is holding a toddler mattress in a collage picture. This picture has enraged the online audience.

Twitter Is Calling Out The Campaign Due To Its Connection To Balenciaga
The fashion world did not have a great time this year pertaining to their campaigns. The campaign had two little girls holding soft toy-like bear bags which had BDSM leather and harness suspended to them.
In another campaign, they used papers containing excerpts from overturning of a child pornography act’s section. Now, due to the same parent company, Kering, Twitter is calling out Harry Styles and Gucci for perpetuating sick campaigns.
