Is Wes Gibbins Really Dead On ‘How To Get Away With Murder’?
The entire first half of season three revolves around the mystery of who was under the sheet after Keating’s house is burned down in a fire. The show really enjoys teasing the fans with crazy cliffhangers and twisted deaths of characters. Season three opens with Keating screaming in shock and pain when she realizes who had been killed in the fire – so it’s definitely someone from the Keating Five. Only during the mid-season, it is revealed that it was Wes under the sheet. His death is the most disturbing and unfair death of the series.
Towards the end of the season, the Keating Five discovers that Wes was murdered before the fire at Keating’s house. He was at Keating’s house and wanted to confess to the murder of Sam. But before he can do so, Dominick Flores suffocates Wes to death and leaves him in the basement – starting a fire under Jorge Castilo’s order. Keating listens to the last voicemail left by Wes and deletes it, hence erasing the evidence. And the most heart-stopper moment of the series was the comeback of Wes Gibbins in season six leaving the fans confused. As it turns out, it was Christopher Castilo, son of Wes and Laurel.

Was Annalise Keatings Murdered?
What an irony would it be! The professor teaching ‘How To Get Away With Murder‘ is actually murdered. But as it turns out, Annalise Keating died of old age and did actually live a full life. Her funeral gave us shots of several aged-up characters, including Eve, Laurel, Connor, Oliver, and Christopher. But why was he at her funeral? Just like his dad, Christopher takes up Annalise Keating’s program at Middleton Law School to become a criminal lawyer. And now he has taken up her old class of ‘How to Get Away with Murder’.
Well, it seems anti-climatic for the protagonists of this pack of liars to be able to get away with all her dirt. But hey, at least she did not actually kill anyone and get away with it. There were plenty of punishments waiting for Annalise, the Keating Five, and their other associates. But the showrunners decided to give the series a rest after a brilliant time jump which tied up all the loose ends.
