The entertainment industry has evolved to be quite inclusive and has introduced some amazing shows like ‘Queer Eye‘ to the world. With Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, and Bobby Berk taking charge as the queer stars of the show, ‘Queer Eye‘ transforms people’s lives in all aspects.
Despite being the first of its kind, the show was an instant hit. Its widespread fanbase was largely disappointed after one of the show’s main characters Bobby Berk announced his departure from the show. However, fans can now brace themselves for a whole new facet of the show as the replacement for Bobby Berk has been announced — and it’s someone we already love.
Jeremiah Brent Is The Perfect Fit For ‘Queer Eye’ Given His Expertise
Netflix has officially confirmed that Jeremiah Brent will be taking over the role of decorating guru on the hit show ‘Queer Eye‘ following Bobby Berk’s departure after eight seasons. Brent is an experienced interior designer and HGTV star. He will begin production for season 9 in Las Vegas later this spring.
Jeremiah Brent is also the founder of his own design firm and a certified home makeover TV star. He is therefore a perfect replacement for Berk Brent, as he brings years of expertise to the role. Brent also stars alongside his husband Nate Berkus on HGTV’s ‘Nate & Jeremiah by Design‘ and ‘The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project’.
A familiar face in the world of home makeovers, Brent has also competed on HGTV’s reality competition show ‘Rock the Block’ with his husband. Brent has also previously appeared as the interior design expert on Netflix’s ‘Say I Do’, a series developed by the same creators as ‘Queer Eye’.
In addition to his TV projects, Brent recently released a new book titled ‘The Space That Keeps You’ which explores the meaning of a home. The book also gets into intimate conversations about the feelings and memories that shape an individual’s living space.

Bobby Berk Parted Ways From ‘Queer Eye’ On A Cordial Note
Jeremiah is taking over the role of Bobby Berk, who announced his departure in November 2023. It was a cordial departure though there were rumors of a dispute between him and Tan France. He later trashed the rumor, and while announcing his departure, expressed gratitude for the support and love he received over the six years on the show.
“The love that I have received from you all over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal,” he wrote alongside a series of photos. “You have tuned in and been dedicated fans and together we were able to share the healing powers of design. I learned from you all about kindness, love and acceptance and that has changed my life for the better.”
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon,” he continued.
“I love you all so so much and I’ll meet you all in Nola for one final season. #foreverthefab5,” he concluded, referring to his costars.
