Netflix Korea Accidentally Leaks ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Release Date And It’s Much Sooner Than Expected 

Good news for ‘Squid Game’ as Netflix Korea seemingly “accidentally” revealed the release date for the much-anticipated third season of the global hit series. A teaser video posted on Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel hinted that ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 could drop much sooner than anticipated.

The dystopian thriller, ever since its release, has captivated audiences all across the world. Moreover, the gap between the first and second seasons was painfully long. So, with season 3’s summer release date, fans are unsurprisingly excited.

The now removed ‘Squid Game’ teaser, featured the iconic doll robot Young-hee facing off against a new boy robot named Chul-soo. According to the video, the third installment is expected to premiere on June 27, 2025.

Despite the deletion, Screenshots of the teaser quickly went viral on social media, fueling speculation and excitement among fans. Additionally, ‘Squid Game’ has been a groundbreaking phenomenon for Netflix.  The show’s second season even shattered the first season’s records, debuting with 68 million views.

The show also secured its place at the top of Netflix’s all-time watched non-English TV list. So, while Netflix has yet to confirm or deny the leak, fans are already marking their calendars and counting down to what promises to be another heart-stopping chapter in this dystopian saga.

Leonardo Dicaprio Rumored To Join ‘Squid Game’

Squid Game’ creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has been teasing fans with updates about the upcoming season. In a recent interview with Variety, Dong-hyuk also hinted at a possible summer or fall release. “I believe we will be announcing the launch date for season 3 soon,” he shared. “I probably expect that to launch around summer or fall next year.”

Season 2 left viewers on edge as Lee Jung-Jae’s character, Seong Gi-hun, vowed to take down the sinister organization behind the Squid Game. However, the finale hints that the fight for survival is far from over. Players are expected to continue navigating the life-and-death games.

Additionally, each decision potentially leads them closer to freedom or doom. Adding to the buzz are rumors that Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio may appear in a cameo role in Season 3. DiCaprio is reportedly a fan of the series and is speculated to have filmed a brief scene in the United States. However, these are only rumors and nothing is confirmed.
