Netflix is developing a new television adaptation of Vault Comic’s popular series ‘Barbaric‘. Several big names confirmed their participation in the project to bring the world to the small screen.
Following the positive reception to the source material, excitement is building for this new fantasy project heading to the streaming giant.
Patrick Stewart And Sam Claflin Set To Star As Barbarians
Heading the cast of this brutal yet humorous tale is veteran actor Patrick Stewart along with Sam Claflin. Stewart, known for Star Trek and X-Men, will voice an undisclosed key character. Claflin, from ‘The Hunger Games‘ and ‘Peaky Blinders,’ will lead Owen, the cursed barbarian on a quest-filled journey.
At the helm is expected to be renowned director Michael Bay, who is currently in talks to make his television directorial debut on the project. Sources have revealed the series will call Netflix home, when and if it moves forward with a full series order.

Vault Comics is adapting ‘Barbaric‘ from their best-selling comic book series. Owen the Barbarian, cursed to do good deeds, undertakes missions with his talking axe companion in their cruel yet comedic world.
