Vault Comics is adapting ‘Barbaric‘ from their best-selling comic book series. The source material balances gorily violent action with zany doses of dark comedy, similar to the tone of popular R-rated superhero films like ‘Deadpool‘. Owen the Barbarian, cursed to do good deeds, undertakes missions with his talking axe companion in their cruel yet comedic world.

Experienced showrunner Sheldon Turner and A-list stars make Barbaric an exciting new fantasy adaptation for Netflix subscribers. Fans will be keeping an eye out for further updates on Barbaric’s development with Michael Bay set to direct.
