“Doesn’t Hurt To Try”: Luther Ford Looks Back At The Text That Changed Everything
One of the actors on the show took to Instagram to reveal the remarkable fluke that landed him the role of teenage Prince Harry on ‘The Crown‘. Luther Ford took to social media as he shared some photos of himself and Prince Harry to put across the similarity between their looks.
The post was meant to give the followers a glimpse into the journey that led him to play teenage Prince Harry on the Netflix show. But as he went on the share a carousel of photos, he unveiled an interesting story that took the followers back to the very focal point of his journey.
The seventh slide of pictures that the actor shared showed what could be called an important moment in his acting career. The photo was a screenshot of a text he received from who seemed to be a friend of his. The person had sent Ford a Facebook post advertising a casting call for ‘The Crown‘, specifically seeking a “young actor to play Prince Harry in the next series.”
While his friend seemed sure he is a great fit for the role, Ford responded with a mixture of excitement and doubt. “Hahahaha my time has come…I don’t know if the resemblance is strong enough,” Ford wrote in response to his friend’s text.
“Doesn’t hurt to try,” his friend prompted, to which Ford responded with “Haha okay will do.”
