Andrew Tate has gained recognition over the years as a social media star but he is mostly known for being a professional kickboxer. Tate emerged as a winner for the first time in kickboxing in 2009 but he is also famous for his appearance in ‘Big Brother.’
But it must be noted that despite being well-known, he has been involved in some criminal cases. While the investigation into those cases has continued, he was charged with rape and human trafficking in Romania on June 20, 2023.
Charges Of Rape And Human Trafficking Against Andrew Tate
Andrew Tate has been accused of rape, human trafficking, and the formation of a criminal group for sexually exploiting women. The news was confirmed by the Romanian authorities who stated that his brother Tristan Tate and two female Romanian citizens were also charged.
According to a statement by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, Andrew Tate and the others established a criminal group for committing human trafficking in Romania and other countries like the USA and Great Britain.
The group also misled seven victims, intending to form a “marriage/cohabitation relationship” and the existence of real feelings for love. The victims were then taken to buildings in Ilfov County and they were forced to physical violence and mental coercion for getting involved in pornographic acts.

Investigations Against The Tate Brothers
Romanian daily newspaper Gandul revealed that investigations against the Tate Brothers started back in 2022. This was the result of a complaint that was given by an American woman who was held by force.
Following the investigation, several women were discovered inside a building that was around 500 yards away from the Bucharest villa. According to the woman, she met Tristan on social media who told her to purchase a plane ticket to Romania. The woman then called her ex-boyfriend who immediately contacted the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest.
