Donald Trump Arrested In Hush Money Case
On Tuesday, Donald Trump appeared in the Manhattan court to face criminal charges over a hush money scandal. With this, the 76-year-old has also become the first former US President to face criminal charges. He was arrested subsequently.
Trump pleaded not guilty to all 34 counts of falsifying business records. He later went on to give his first public remark since the legal process began. “While we are living through the darkest hours of American history, I can say that at least for this moment right now, I am in great spirits,” he said.
He also called District Attorney Alvin Bragg a “George Soros-backed prosecutor.” Trump was accused of paying a hefty sum to adult porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 Presidential election for her to keep mum over their affair.

How Did Hollywood Respond To His Arrest?
Television host Jimmy Kimmel took to Twitter to express his thoughts on Trump’s arrest. He shared a picture of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner with the caption, “When all your dads end up in jail.”

Kushner’s father and former attorney Charles Kushner was jailed for two years in the early 2000s for charges like tax evasion, illegal campaign contributions, and tampering with witnesses.
Actress Yvette Nicole Brown also tweeted, “Ain’t it GRAND! Thank you @ManhattanDA! Thank you NYC! Gotta say it’s *chef’s kiss* that he’s been arrested in NEW YORK, the city he thought he OWNED! We are ALL laughing at you @realDonaldTrump! & it isn’t a sad day. It’s a GLORIOUS day that proves NO ONE is above the law!”
