What Inspired The Title Of The Movie?
According to Tundum, the title of the movie actually pays homage to the 1968 Beatles song of the same name, ‘Glass Onion‘. Director Rian Johnson could describe his detective character, Benoit Blanc, only with the metaphor of a glass.
With the thought, he turned on his music library. “I’ll be very honest. I literally got out my iPhone and searched my music library with the word glass,” Johnson shared. “The first thing that came up, because I’m a huge Beatles fan, is ‘Glass Onion,‘” and that’s how the title came to be about.
