What Was The Real Reason For The Lawson Family Murders Featured On Netflix’s ’28 Days Haunted’?

The recent Netflix series ‘28 Days Haunted‘ has succeeded in capturing the attention of audiences. However, people interested in unsolved mysteries haven’t missed the fact that the documentary is based on real-life events. The series’ theory is put forward by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren who believe that it takes a total of 28 days to establish a connection between the human world and the spirit world.

And hence, as can be seen in the show, the ghost hunters spend 28 days each in three haunted houses across the United States, in search of evidence of paranormal activities. Now, what is the reason for the Lawson family murders being featured on the show?

What Is The Relation Between The Lawson Family Murders And ’28 Days Haunted’?

As mentioned above, the documentary features three haunted houses going through paranormal investigations. One of it is located in Madison, in North Carolina. What’s interesting about this is that, the upstairs of this building housed the T.B. Knight funeral parlor. This is where the victims of a mass murder, particularly, the Lawson family were embalmed.

The property was bought by Richard and Kathy Miller in 1998. However, they were not prepared for the stories and sightings of paranormal activities, that went on in the property. Reports alleged that many people had seen a young girl wearing white roaming around the building.

As the stories caught the attention of the team behind ‘28 Days Haunted‘, by August they had taken access to the building, along with paranormal investigators Brandy Marie Miller and Jerome Leonard.

Apparently, Charlie killed Fannie and all of his children one by one including the youngest that was just a baby.

The only survivor was the oldest son Arthur, 16, who was sent nearby to run an errand. The bodies of the family members were found with their arms crossed and rocks under their heads. Lawson’s body was discovered by a Police officer along with Arthur, amidst the woods.
