Gwyneth Paltrow Gets $1 In The Ski Crash Trial
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has won the ski crash trial which was over a 2016 incident that took place at the Deer Valley ski resort. According to a Variety report, the trial concluded on March 30 in Park City, Utah.
The Academy Award-winning actress was awarded $1, plus legal fees, as requested in her countersuit. For the past two weeks, the weird trial was the talk of the town and created a buzz on social media.
Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, had sued Paltrow for $300,000 over a 2016 incident in which her ski rammed into him, leaving him with several concussions, including four broken ribs and a brain injury.
The 76-year-old doctor had originally sued her for $3.1 million which was ruled against him by the judge for seeking punitive damages.

What Did Paltrow Say In Court?
Last week, Paltrow testified in court to give her side of the story. “I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart and then there was a body pressing against me,” she said.
The actress said that the doctor made a “strange grunting noise” afterward, which made her think she was being sexually assaulted. “My brain was trying to make sense of what was happening,” she said.
“I thought, ‘Is this a practical joke? Is someone doing something perverted?‘” After the collision, Paltrow yelled at him, “You skied directly into my fucking back!”
