Kanye West has very quickly become one of the most hated people on this planet in a nick of time. Despite having a history of saying offensive and weird stuff, his fans gracefully ignored everything to support him. Until this year, when he wrote an anti-semitic tweet.
Now, former member of Saturday Night Live (SNL) Chris Redd has opened up about the ‘Donda‘ rappers rant about Donald Trump on the show in 2018. He said Ye “pulled some bullshit” that was edited out of that segment. Let’s find out in detail about this incident.

Paul Redd Talks About Ye’s Donald Trump Rant On SNL
In September 2018, the 45-year-old rapper served as the musical guest on the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live (SNL). However, a particular section of the segment did not make it to the air.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, former SNL member Chris Redd said he watched West trying to pull a pro-Trump rant during the show’s dress rehearsal.
“I remember the dress rehearsal where he tried his dress rehearsal version of that, and I heard it, but there was music playing still so people were like sitting there and vibing,” Redd said.
He added, “But I was listening to his words, and I was like, bro, he’s about to pull some bullshit. And I’m not about to be on stage for that. I’m not going to entertain this. Like, I’ve been a fan of Kanye my whole life. And I miss the old Kanye.”

Only Some Of The Rant By Kanye West Was Aired
Redd left SNL towards the end of the 2021-2022 session. He talked about the segment from Ye’s rant that made it to the air. “He came in there wanting to shoot everybody — verbally — and I just felt that was disrespectful, because we’re all grown adults”, he said.
“And now all of us don’t like you. He just came in there with a chip on his shoulder, ready to talk shit,” he added. Redd is mostly known for his impersonation of West in SNL sketches.
He stated that the rapper didn’t like his impersonations. “I mean, it’s safe to assume my man don’t like that impression. Judging by interactions, I don’t think he likes it that much. But, you know, I don’t like what he be saying all the time. So I think we’re even there.”
