It is Ireland Vs Ireland! Ireland’s most famous actor Liam Neeson verbally attacked Ireland’s most recognized martial artist Conor McGregor. This rant was the result of the interview question to Liam about whether he watches The Notorious or MMA as a whole by Men’s Magazine. He replied,” I can’t stand. That to me is like a bar fight.”
Conor McGregor is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and is the first UFC fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes simultaneously. Meanwhile, the Hollywood actor, Liam Neeson, hates the ultimate fighting and in a recent interview he openly trash-talked about the championship and also criticized the UFC champion.
Liam Neeson Trashes Conor McGregor
Liam Neeson was asked about his opinion on the ultimate UFC championship in a recent interview with Men’s Magazine. The ‘Star-Trek‘ actor replied, “That to me is like a bar fight. I know the practitioners are like, ‘No, you’re wrong — the months of training we do …’ Why don’t you just grab a beer bottle and hit the other guy over the head? That’s the next stage of the UFC.”
But Liam did not stop with his comment, he further took a dig at the highest-paid athlete, stating, “That little leprechaun Conor McGregor, he gives Ireland a bad name. I know he’s fit, and I admire him for that. But I can’t take it”.
‘The Schindler’s List’ actor is known to have faced scrutiny even in the past due to his comments during interviews. In 2019, he recalled a story where he confessed he once roamed the streets looking for a ‘Black bastard’ to kill after learning a close friend had been raped by a ‘Black man’. This comment sparked a lot of hate for the actor. But later he apologized for the comment during an appearance on Good Morning America. Neeson later played a cameo role in ‘Atlanta‘ created by Donald Glover which tackled his racism controversy.
