While shooting for Batman Vs Superman, the Superman star Henry Cavill confessed that he was intimated by the Batman star, Ben Affleck. But with the recent developments in the DC Universe, the fans will miss the epic duo of Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck from the big screens.
The fans are greatly disappointed with the new heads of DC Universe, James Gunn, and Peter Safran as they decide to makeover the Superman movie leaving Henry Cavill. Moreover, there is no news on whether Ben Affleck will return back for his role as Batman. It is a shame that in order to rejuvenate the DC Universe, Gunn and Safran are leaving behind their star actor.

Why Henry Cavil was Intimidated By Ben Affleck?
In an interview with Fandom Wire during “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice“, Henry Cavill said, “The guy is huge. I’m puny by comparison. He is much bigger than I expected, with this huge presence and vast physicality. I had to step it up. When you see this mountain of a man walking around the set, you think, ‘I’ve got to get to the gym… yesterday”. Cavill confessed that he was intimidated by Ben Affleck during the initial days of shooting for the film.
The report further mentions that Henry Cavill only went to the gym and got pumped up in shape because of Ben Affleck. The duo reprised their role in Justice League as well. Cavill felt sheepish around the Batman star in 2016 during Zack Snyder’s version of “Superman v Batman Dawn of Justice”. It is really hard to believe that a man as handsome as Henry Cavill is intimidated by his fellow co-star.

Is Henry Cavill Planning to Join the MCU?
Over the year there has been a constant debate of MCU v DCU, and clearly, the MCU is thriving and evolving. On the other hand, DCU seems to be facing a backlash from the fans over the decision to replace Henry Cavill as Superman. Amidst this, there have been rumors that Ben Affleck would be joining the MCU as a villain, The Minotaur. And along with him, the Superman star Henry Cavill might be included in the MCU.
In an interview, Herny Cavill was asked which Marvel character he would love to play to which he replied he did not want to portray the character that is already taken. He said, “I have the internet, and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British”. Though fans are heartbroken with the news that Cavill won’t return back as Superman, but are excited to see him play a new superhero.
