Dave Bautista, famously known for portraying the role of Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is now interested to be a part of the DC Universe. Bautista is currently an American actor, and a former wrestler. His stunts in the WWE were quite famous up until 2019.
Portraying the role of Drax in the 2014 ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ Bautista adopted the role of the villain beautifully. Now, he seems to be moving forward with playing an evil genius for the second time, but this time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Is Dave Bautista Playing Lex Luthor In The MCU?
With James Gunn’s new DCU Plans, Dave Bautista reveals he wouldn’t mind playing the role of Lex Luthor. Recently, it was in the news that Bautista had been dreaming of playing Batman villain for years. However, he recently acknowledged that he’s too old for the role now, and that it should be played by someone younger.
However, ComicBook.com journalist Chris Killian put forth the idea that Bautista would be perfect for the role of Lex Luthor. Dave responded by saying “I never thought about that! And now I’m not going to be able to stop thinking about it.” And he wants James Gunn to know that he is 100 percent on board.

How Will Bautista Fit Into Gunn’s DCU?
Dave Bautista and director James Gunn both have always shown their interest in reuniting with the DCU. Gunn had previously made his debut with ‘Suicide Squad.’ Last November, he was tapped to lead the DC Studios along with Peter Safran, Producer of ‘The Conjuring‘ Universe.
Gunn has recently indicated he wants to move away from the good guy vs bad guy formula, which is usually followed in these movies. He rather wants to capture the optimism of Superman this time, which in turn could be a great opportunity for Bautista to show his talents other than his physical prowess.
