Actor Dylan Minnette had his breakthrough through his role in the popular series called ’13 Reasons Why‘. The show highlighted sensitive topics like depression, suicide, and rape in a glorified manner. The show reached a great peak and so did Dylan’s career.
Following the biggest role of his career, Dylan quit acting a few years ago. It takes a lot of decision-making to take such a big step. The actor finally revealed his 13th reason why he leave acting.

Dylan Minnette Opens Up About His Career Switch
In an interview on The Zach Sang Show with his band, Wallows, Minnette, 27, admitted that he might consider getting back to acting after pausing it. The actor also noted the fact that he left his acting career when he was “fortunate to find success in it.”
The ’13 Reasons Why’ actor said that he finds acting as a job. He said, “I was on 13 Reasons Why and it was really popular and reached a peak in — so far — of what I’ve had in acting. But it also started to feel like a bit of a job.”
Dylan did acknowledge his position and was grateful for the opportunity but it didn’t feel right to him during the moment. He wanted to go further with his music career.
The actor continued, “And I was in a very fortunate position where — it was always fun for me, always really inspiring, but then as soon as it was just starting to feel like just a job, I was like, well, I feel like Wallows and music is this passion that we have always had as a group to really take all the way, and as far as we can.”

Minnette feels privileged for the successful acting career he was bestowed with. The actor added, “Incredibly privileged and lucky to be in a position where it’s like, ‘This is starting to feel like a job, so I’m gonna do this now, and that’ll be my job.“
Dylan is moving with whatever he feels is right and inspiring. He also shared a good news for his fans. The actor also shared about his chances of returning to acting.
He continued in the interview, “I do feel like I have something to give, and that’s probably acting,” he said. “I feel like I’m starting to feel inspiration for that again. At some point, when we’ve fulfilled our Wallows duties and we’re all ready to take a break as a band, or just take a second, that’s when I’ll have the perfect inspiration to do something.”
Dylan also shared he was close to returning last year but the actor and writer strike in between.
