Everyone is well aware of the fact that this year’s Met Gala was dedicated to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. But actress Jameela Jamil was not satisfied with a few things and she expressed the same on social media.

Jameela Jamil Calls Out Met Gala For Honoring “Known Bigot” Karl Lagerfeld
Met Gala 2023 received positive feedback for paying tribute to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. However, Jameela Jamil had a few complaints regarding the same. Jamil praised the fact that the attendees paid tribute to Karl.
But she was unhappy as a majority of them were feminists and she was shocked to see the feminists attending the event despite that Lagerfeld made unacceptable comments against fat women several years ago. Jameela Jamil wrote in a lengthy statement on Instagram that personalities from Hollywood and the fashion industry went to the Met Gala to celebrate someone who has been cruel to women, fat people, immigrants, and sexual assault survivors.
Stating that most of them decided to ignore it, Jamil added: “Suddenly your appetite to find someone’s tweets from when they were 12, has gone. Nobody has perfect morals, least of all me, but Jesus Christ we had a year to course correct here, and not award the highest honor possible to a known bigot…”
Jamil also clarified that her statement is to show how selective cancel culture exists within liberal politics and why people cannot trust liberals. She mentioned that not just Hollywood, but the general public also participated and no one bothered to understand the truth.

Jameela Jamil’s Successful Career In Films And Television
Jameela Jamil has been the host of different shows like ‘Freshly Squeezed‘, ‘T4’, ‘Playing It Straight’, ‘Hollywood Game Night’, ‘The Misery Index’, and more. She even appeared in radio shows like ‘The Radio 1 Request show with Jameela Jamil’, ‘The Official Chart‘, and ‘Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!’
Jamil has been featured in only four films so far. She has voiced Wonder Woman in ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ and has played important roles in ‘How to Build a Girl’ and ‘Marry Me.’
The 37-year-old will also be the narrator of the romantic film, ‘Love at First Sight.’ The release date of the film has not been disclosed yet. She has voiced various characters in TV shows like ‘DuckTales’, ‘Robot Chicken’, ‘American Dad!’, ‘Big City Greens’, and more.
