Johnny Depp donated the proceeds from the sale of a number of expensive NFTs to a charity that is associated with his ex-wife after winning a legal battle against Amber Heard that netted him $15 million.
Depp’s NFT organization, also known as Never Fear Truth, has successfully raised a large sum of money through donations. According to the statement made by the firm “we are pleased to be able to confirm that nearly $800,000 in total donations.”

Johnny Depp Gave Away $800,000 To Various Charities
Among the recipients were the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, The Footprint Coalition, and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Foundation. In light of Amber’s previous association with the Children’s Hospital, the contribution is particularly noteworthy in this context.
Heard made a vow to two charities back in 2016 to contribute her whole $7 million divorce settlement. The remaining $1.5 million will go to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, according to the actress.
“The donation will be divided equally between the ACLU, with a particular focus to stop violence against women, and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where I have worked as a volunteer for the past 10 years,” she stated.
“Money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully, help those less able to defend themselves,” the actress claimed.
Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez was able to persuade Amber to concede that she had not kept her end of the bargain throughout the trial.
Amber Heard Only Paid $1.3 Million Out Of The Promised $3.5 Million
Amber only paid the promised $3.5 million, according to the ACLU, in court. The donations came from a variety of sources: the actress gave them $350,000; Johnny gave them $100,000; a donor-advised fund gave them $500, and yet another fund gave them $3350,000.
The $500k contribution was linked to Amber’s ex-boyfriend, Elon Musk, according to a representative for the group.
Johnny didn’t donate any of the money collected from his NFTs to the ACLU. This most likely stems from the organization’s initial denial of evidence in his fight with Amber, which he had to litigate in order to get.
