The news is coming from Studio 8H about the new season of ‘SNL‘. The sketch-based show is all set to make a comeback for its 48th season. The show released lists of hosts and performers, and Megan Thee Stallion will grace the stage as host and performer in one of the episodes. After the season finale of Season 47, many eminent ‘SNL‘ regulars signed-off from the show including Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and others. Even before the production of the new season began, Aristotle Athari, and Alex Moffat took off from the show.
However, on Tuesday, ‘SNL‘ took to Twitter to make the announcement of the new season along with the schedule of three Saturdays! The industry heavyweights will appear on the Studio 8H stage. The list includes Pulitzer and Grammy-winning artist Kendrick Lamar, Miles Teller, the suave actor from ‘Top Gun: Maverick.’ Also joining on one of the episodes is the Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion as a guest and host.
Megan Thee Stallion Will Appear On The October 15th Episode
After two years, the ‘Savage’ artist will be back on the ‘SNL‘ stage to promote her latest album ‘Traumazine.’ The rapper took it to Twitter to announce the news with an all CAPS tweet! Along with performance, she will also take up the hosting duty on the October 15th episode. In 2020, Stallion made her ‘SNL‘ debut with Chance The Rapper, and the same year she also performed ‘Handsome.’

The first episode will witness Miles Miller from the summer blockbuster ‘Top Gun: Maverick.‘ On the episode, Kendrick Lamar will join as the musical guest. Currently, the Grammy winner is touring with his new album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.’ On October 8, Gleeson will make the ‘SNL‘ debut. The Emmy-winning actor will promote his upcoming project ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ joined by Willow Smith as the musical guest.

The rapper has emerged as a powerful entity since her Grammy win with Beyoncé. Stallion does not just want to stop at music, but she wants to try every avenue available. Recently, she appeared in an episode of ‘She-Hulk’ and she will also make her feature debut with ‘F***ing Identical Twins.’
In an interview with New York Magazine, Megan expressed her wish to be on the other side of the camera. She said, “When I look at them [Ice Cube & Queen Latifah], it inspires me to take it further than just music,” she said. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director, and I’m also going to be a producer.”
