The 65th Annual Grammy Awards was celebrated on 5th February 2023 in Los Angeles. As stars hit the stage with their performances and speeches, fans and celebrities both had a lot to say. One particular comment includes that of Megyn Kelly, calling out the legendary pop star Madonna.
Honoring the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the music industry, the Grammys 2023 paid respects to some very deserving winners. Although, how can an award show go without any controversial comments?

Megyn Kelly Calls Out Madonna
After the event, American journalist Megyn Kelly did not hold back to comment on the show, particularly pop-star Madonna. In her podcast called ‘The Megyn Kelly Show,‘ she spoke about Madonna’s appearance, calling her a “sick person who needs help.” Madonna’s appearance had Kelly concerned for her health and well-being.
Kelly said that she wants to age gracefully and not alter her appearance with cosmetic surgeries as Madonna seems to have done. “This is an unwell person who we featured at the Grammys the other night,” says Kelly. As mentioned in Diply, Kelly added that it has disturbed her to the core.

What Was Madonna’s Response?
The iconic star did not shy away from pushing back critics and slamming the backlashes that she had been receiving. Madonna took to her Instagram page, posting a long commentary about how she won’t be sorry about her choices. She criticized the media for purposefully focusing on her looks.
She wrote that, instead of focusing on her speech that included appreciation for Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ bravery, she was targeted based on her looks and criticized for it. Madonna added that women over the age of 45 are always caught with ageism remarks, and punishes women who are hardworking and strong.
