While the grand jamming was going on, in the backstage, Quinn and the band members sat down to chat for a while. With the completion of the introduction of the actor, James Hetfield couldn’t resist and said, “You’re taller than on the TV!”
Joseph flaunted “Master of Puppets” playing the character Eddie Munson in the epic season 4 finale of ‘Stranger Things’. Talking about this led Joseph to ask the crew if they were fans of the show. Hetfield took no time to express that he’s been watching it since season 1. Not only that but he also shared how the hit Netflix show has developed a bonding experience with his sons.
The 29-year-old did not take any time to say a firm yes when asked if he would like to jam with the group! Although Quinn pretended that he might be a bit rusty at first, but then looked like a total pro after Lars Ulrich kicked things off with a countdown. Kirk Hammett then tells Quinn, “You’re hired!”

A Precious Gift For Joseph Quinn From The Metallica
Although the whole event was a grand blast, still the moment of the day was when Robert Trujillo pulled out a custom B.C. Rich guitar like the one Quinn played on the show and handed it over to him. Quinn couldn’t resist but get down on his knees and bowed down to the guitar.
The band then continued to “f**k it up” by signing the guitar. Well, that was not the final gift. The band provided him an all-access pass so that he can come for the shows anytime he wants.
“It was amazing! Opportunities to play ‘Master of Puppets’ with the most iconic metal band of all time don’t come around very often,” Quinn told Netflix’s Tudum. “A story for the grandkids.”
