It’s been a few weeks since the infamous defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard reached its final verdict. Heard seems to be devastated emotionally, and financially, after losing the case. The trial cost the actress her image and reputation. Heard recently tried to tell her side about how the trial was “unfair” due to social media’s influence on her ‘Today‘ interview. But, there are few who might believe her.
Depp had sued Heard following her 2018 op-ed where she claimed to be a domestic violence victim. After the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ actor won the case, Heard tried to get the attention in many ways. She might have thought that her latest interview will play as a sympathy card, but unfortunately, that didn’t work either. Cooper Lawrence, a well-known journalist, has now labeled it as “awkward” and “rehearsed”.
Cooper Lawrence Brutally Roasts Amber Heard For “Rehearsed” Interview
Broadcaster Cooper Lawrence discussed Amber’s interview during an appearance on the Australian morning show ‘Sunrise‘. She trolled her saying that the entire interview seemed “really rehearsed.”
“I think she’s on the ‘you need to listen to me tour.’ Yet she has these awkward moments that she had during the trial where you’re kind of like, ‘Wait, are you lying again?’” she explained. “It’s like she can’t get her own story straight that she memorized for this interview, and she’s not even under oath.”
During the interview, Heard also reacted to a claim Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez previously made, wherein she accused the actress of staging the “role of a lifetime” with her testimonies. The star replied to the quote and said, “Says the lawyer for the man who convinced the world he had scissors for fingers? I’m the performer?” She referred to Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands character from his 1990 film.
Cooper didn’t hesitate to roast that non-sensical comment as well. “I mean, the thing is, we know that Johnny Depp doesn’t have fingers that are scissors. We also don’t think that he was once a real pirate,” Cooper stated. “The whole thing is really odd and really weird, and I’m trying to figure out what her intention was here.”
Amber Heard is so unwanted in the industry right now that fans have started signing petitions like #BoycottAmberHeard. It’s yet to be seen if the actress is removed from the upcoming film ‘Aquaman 2’ or not.
