Danny Masterson has been part of the entertainment industry from a very young age. He started off as a child model in television commercials. Other than the ‘That 70s Show‘, the actor also acted in ‘Men at Work’ and ‘The Ranch’. Here’s more about the accusation faced by the actor and the verdict he had to face.
Danny Masterson Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison
It was the Los Angeles superior court judge who handed down the sentence to the actor Danny Masterson. He has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape after being convicted earlier this year. The court had already found the 47-year-old guilty in the second trial that had happened back in May 2023. The first trial for the accusation raised against Danny Masterson happened in November 2022. But the case was put forward for a new set of juries.
The three women who accused the actor of rape had appeared at the court to testify of the pain and trauma that they had to undergo. However, the accused stayed with no visible reaction through the court proceedings. The women accused Masterson of giving them drinks that made them pass out. After which, he violently raped them.
These incidents took place two decades back when ‘The Ranch’ actor was the epitome of his fame due to the sitcom. The claims against Masterson had come out back in 2017 and he was charged with raping three women in 2020.

Church Of Scientology Faces Trouble
The three women who accused Danny Masterson of sexual misconduct were once part of the Church of Scientology. However, as the actor used his influence in the Church, the women left its following. It is with the help of the institution that Masterson tried to avoid further consequences.
Two of the accusers have confessed how they were prevented from contacting law enforcement by the Church. The victims were put through an ethics program and were told that they were not raped. The institution also threatened them from complaining against a member of such a high standing.
Masterson’s sentence is a sure blow to the Church of Scientology. “The Church has no policy prohibiting or discouraging members from reporting criminal conduct of anyone, Scientologists or not, to law enforcement,” the institution said in a statement after the verdict.
