Moving on from a divorce could take a lot of time, and Hollywood stars are no exception to the ordeal. Hollywood is seemingly going through a divorce season with stars couples like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck struggling, ‘Yellowstone‘ star Kevin Costner also talked about his “crushing” divorce.
It seems Costner is having a hard time moving from his divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Here’s what the actor said about his struggled of moving on from the separation and co-parenting the children together.

‘Yellowstone‘ actor Kevin Costner is trying his best to move from is painful divorce with Christine Baumgartner. While talking with CBS Mornings, the host of the show Gayle King asked Costner about his recent divorce. “That’s a crushing moment. It’s powerful. It hurt. But I go forward. I have no choice — my children are looking at me,” Costner responded.
“So I can’t wilt like a daisy, I have to go forward. I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are,” he continued.
Costner and his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner started dating in 1998 and got married in 2004. But after 18 years of marriage, they filed for divorce back in May 2023. Their listed separation date is April 11, 2023. Moreover, the couple also shares three children: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14.

“You Just Keep Talking, You Keep Coaching [The Kids]”: Kevin Costner On Parenting His Kids After Divorce
Kevin Costner and Christine’s marriage was officially terminated in February, after all the document work and the couple learning about mandate co-parenting. The two-time Oscar winner and his wife settled on having joint custody of their three children and settled their divorce in September 2023.
A representative for the actor told the People, that the two “have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
With navigating new things in life and moving on, Kevin said while talking with People, “You just do it. You just keep talking, you keep coaching [the kids], you keep interested in what they’re interested in … I had to.”
Speaking about love, he said, “Yeah, I think everybody would like to be in love. There’s such a good feeling that’s associated with that. It may have to be defined in a different way. But yeah, I love the idea of that possibility.”
