King Charles’ Staff Spread Lies About Princess Diana
Cracks started appearing in the relationship between King Charles and Princess Diana pretty early on in their marriage. Charles was accused of cheating on her with another woman.
According to Page Six, Diana’s former chief of staff has slammed the new monarch and his former courtiers for spreading lies that she was mentally ill. Patrick Jephson worked closely with Diana for eight years.
He has alleged that Charles’ staff ran a “systematic campaign” against his first wife while he was having an affair with his longtime mistress Camilla Parker Bowles.
“This is not just some casual gossip, it was a systematic campaign. Okay, it was a long time ago, but … the man they were supporting is now our king and these things should not be buried, they should not be conveniently pushed to one side“, he said.

Patrick Opened Up About Diana’s Death
Patrick warned that what happened with Diana could happen again. “They happened, in theory they could happen again, and certainly they shouldn’t pass without censure.”
He also addressed the media rumors that Diana was “crazy” when she died in a car accident at the age of 36 in Paris in August 1997. “I get very frustrated. That has become the official line“, he said.
The former aide continued, “If you ask people close to the current royal establishment — if you dare bring up the subject of Princess Diana, which very few people would — then I think that is the answer you would get; that it was a tragic story and that she was essentially troubled mentally, and the implication being that she was not entirely up the job, which essentially then she failed at.”
