The age-old Marvel vs DC argument between the widespread fanbase of both superhero franchise is still not settled. While most fans prefer one cinematic universe over the other and argue theirs is the best one, many others love following both DCU and MCU.
It’s perhaps these fans who are excited over the prospect of a possible collaboration between the MCU and DCU. Well, there’s good news because MCU President Kevin Feige has recently commented on the possibility of future collaborations between the two production banners. Here’s what he said.

Kevin Feige Speaks Out On MCU-DCU Crossover
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige isn’t exactly overlooking the possibility of a Marvel and DC crossover film. During a recent interview with Collider, Feige discussed the potential for superheroes from James Gunn’s DC Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe to collide.
Feige acknowledged that he had considered the possible plot of a Marvel/DC movie, stating, “I think about it occasionally, like any fan would think about it. I don’t know when in the heck that would ever happen, or how that would happen. But we’ve been talking too long for me to go, ‘Never! We’d never be able to do that,'”
However, The MCU President did add that they’re currently channeling their full focus on its Multiverse Saga, while James Gunn is busy with DC’s own upcoming projects. “We’ll never say never, but no, no plans. I’ve seen the paparazzi shots of the Superman set looking cool. So he’s [James Gunn] focusing on that. We’re focusing on this,” he said.

A Possible Marvel/DC Collab Was Previously Hinted At By James Gunn
After James Gunn was appointed Co-CEO of DC Studios, he talked about the possibility of a Marvel/DC film over a year ago. “I’m certain that’s more likely now that I’m in charge [at DC],” he said in April 2023. “Who knows?”
Adding on, he said, “That’s many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we’re doing [at DC] first. I would be lying to say that we haven’t discussed it. But all discussions have been very, very light and fun.”
Though there hasn’t been an official crossover between Marvel and DC yet, the two worlds have clashed numerous times in the comic books. The 2003 prestige series ‘JLA/Avengers‘ and 1982’s ‘The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans‘ are some that the fans absolutely adore. These comics are also the main reason why fans are quite enthusiastic and hopeful about possible future collaborations between the two worlds.
