John Cena and Dwayne Johnson have been good friends throughout their lives except for when Cena had an interview with The Sun. In the interview, while talking about Johnson, Cena said, “He, at one point, loved wrestling and wanted to do this all of his life. Explain to me why he can’t come back for a 15th Anniversary show or why he can’t make an appearance at Wrestlemania.”

Cena went on to say that this was simply because Johnson wanted to be an actor more. He also said that it pissed him that Dwayne Johnson talks about himself as a wrestling lover when he is doing something else entirely.

After these comments, Dwayne Johnson made his return to WWE in 2011 and even defeated John Cena in 2012 in the WWE Championship. His remarks created a rift between Johnson and himself.
