Gene Simmons is popular as a member of the rock band, Kiss. He has gained recognition as a flawless bassist and singer and his appearance alongside his band members at different concerts has been loved by the audience. However, his latest performance increased concern among his fans.
The reason was that he performed a portion of the show by sitting on a chair. It must be noted that Simmons has suffered from some small health problems in the past but it remains unknown if they were the reasons behind the small pause he took between his performance.

Gene Simmons Had To Pause His Performance For Some Time
Gene Simmons was performing with his band members in Manaus, Brazil. The performance was a part of the band’s ongoing End Of The Road World Tour. While the audience was enjoying the performance, Simmons was suddenly in need of some help. A few videos of the moment also went viral on social media platforms where he said, “Hold on, hold on. We’re gonna have to stop.”
Another member of Kiss, Paul Stanley told the audience that they have to stop for some time as Gene is sick and added, “Let’s give Gene a really loud, ‘Gene!’ One, two, three – Gene!”
Simmons returned to the stage in a few minutes but he continued to perform by taking the help of a chair.

Why Gene Simmons Had To Take A Break From His Performance?
Gene Simmons and Kiss were performing in Manaus, Brazil where the temperature was reported to be around 80 degrees on April 12, 2023. People speculated that the high temperature was the reason why Simmons had to pause his performance.
Simmons later updated about his condition and posted a tweet where he wrote that the humidity and temperature were the reasons that he was feeling unwell. He added that he was dehydrated and had to sit and perform at one point.
Gene had never suffered from any major health issues in the past. He contracted Covid-19 in 2021 and underwent surgery in 2022 for the removal of kidney stones.
The End of the Road World Tour started back in 2019 and will end on December 2, 2023. The final show is scheduled to be held at the New York City-based Madison Square Garden.
