What Is The Megan Thee Stallion – Tory Lanez Shooting Case?
On July 15, 2020, Stallion said in an interview that she suffered gunshot wounds and had to undergo bullet removal surgery. A report had earlier said that her foot was injured over broken glass bottles inside a car with rapper Tory Lanez.
In an Instagram Live on July 20, the rapper said that she was shot in both feet by Tory. A month later she said, “I didn’t tell the police what happened immediately right there because I didn’t want to die.”
Tory continued to deny the claims that he shot her and alleged that Megan and her team were “trying to frame” him. In October, he was charged with shooting for which he pleaded not guilty.

Tory Lanez Found Guilty
On Friday, a Los Angeles jury found Tory guilty of three felonies in the shooting case. The jury, which consisted of seven women and five men, convicted Tory of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
It was an unregistered firearm for which he has been charged with gross negligence. The charges could lead to up to 22 years in prison for him. After the verdict was ruled out, his father Sonstar Peterson shouted, “This wicked system stands judged before God almighty!”
During the trial, Megan testified in court that Tory fired at the back of her feet inside an SUV in the Hollywood Hills in 2020. She said the two had gotten into an argument that escalated after she started insulting his music.
