‘The Witcher’ Release Date And Cast
The upcoming season three of the Netflix series ‘The Witcher’ hasn’t received an official release date yet. The first two seasons of the fantasy drama series were released in the winter of 2019 and 2021 respectively. Therefore, fans assumed that the series will arrive in winter 2023. But Netflix and the official ‘The Witcher’ account stated that the third season will be arriving in the summer of 2023. The season can be expected to release anytime between June and September.

Due to the impending exit of Henry Cavill from the show, fans have been wondering about the storyline for his last season. It is expected that season three will continue from where season two ended. As we saw in the second season, everyone is after Ciri as she has been destined to be a world destroyer. We will see Geralt and Yennefer come together to save Ciri and for the first time they behave as a unit.
Netflix released a synopsis for the third season of ‘The Witcher’ which gives a rough idea of the plot. The synopsis reads, “As monarchs, mages and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.” We can hope to see Geralt protect Ciri from the warring factions.
The synopsis continues, “Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery.
