Henry Cavill Will Return As Superman
Rumors had been circulating on the internet for a while about Cavill’s return as Superman. Especially during and around the release of another DC giant, ‘Black Adam.’
Now, ‘The Witcher‘ actor has confirmed that he will be back as Superman. He shared a video confirming that he will play the DC hero in future films right after appearing in a mid-credits scene in ‘Black Adam’.
This one marked his first time in the role since 2017’s ‘Justice League’. “I wanted to make it official — I am back as Superman,” Cavill said. He also said, “most of all. Thank you for your support and for your patience.”
The actor said what audiences saw in the film is a “very small taste” of things to come. However, so far there is no information on which project will be Cavill’s return vehicle.
Cavill Had a Cameo In ‘Black Adam’
Dwayne Johnson and the entire team of ‘Black Adam‘ was initially reluctant to reveal that Henry is a part of the film. However, things were under wrap for a while because of a deal.
The ‘Black Adam’ team shot Superman with a body double and test-screened the scene without showing the character’s face. After the deal was done, Cavill filmed his sequence in London.
Cavill first played Superman in Snyder’s ‘Man of Steel’ in 2013 and reprised the role for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ in 2016 and ‘Justice League’ in 2017.
Overall, it’s a piece of great news for DC fans who always wanted him to return to the role. Now only time will tell which film is he going to get for the character.
