On July 13, the breaking news dropped that Khloe and Tristan will soon be welcoming a second child through surrogacy. Khloe’s representative informed that the child was conceived in November.

Why Did Khloe Kardashian Hide The Celebratory News?
Khloe Kardashian is expanding her family, however she didn’t want to share the news with the world just yet. A source informed E! News that Khloe wanted to protect the safety and privacy of the surrogate and prioritize her mental health in the face of Tristan’s previous actions. “Khloe kept the pregnancy a secret to protect surrogate’s privacy and safety and to protect her mental health from judgement from the public as a result of Tristan’s actions,” the source informed E! News.
Khloe and Tristan’s baby was conceived shortly before she learned that Tristan had cheated on her with his mistress Maralee Nichols, with whom he fathered a child in December. Maralee had filed a paternity lawsuit against Tristan. The lawsuit mentioned that the NBA player is the father of her son. He then filed a response in the court and admitted having had sex with her on his birthday in March 2021, in Houstan, Texas. He filed his response in August, three months before conceiving his child with Khloe.
Khloe’s Reaction To Tristan’s Paternity Scandal
Khloe wasn’t aware that she had been cheated on by Tristan until December, when the news broke globally. In one of the episodes of ‘The Kardashian‘, Khloe reacted to the revelation and said, “A courtesy would be not doing it. But fine, if you do it, you’re not even going to give me a heads up before the rest of the world?” It’s just an additional slap in my face. It’s humiliating. I’m embarrassed.”
The scandal brought a lot of humiliation to Khloe and she even kept the news of her new child from her close friends and her inner circle. In this matter, the source explained that Khloe and her representative ultimately issued a statement “even before she could personally tell her closest family and friends.” Her inner circle learned of the news online alongside her fans only.
However, Khloe has been very thankful to her surrogate. Her representative told, “Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”
