Joe Biden Endorses Kamala Harris For 2024 Presidential Elections
In a statement made public on Sunday, President Biden announced that he would not be running for reelection this year. This news sent shockwaves through the political community and caused the Democratic Party to engage in an unprecedented scramble to select a new nominee to challenge former President Donald Trump.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Biden wrote in a social media post, “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

He then continued to add in a few words of support for Vice President Kamala Harris, who he is now being endorsed for the Presidential post while reassuring that he will focus on his remaining tenure.
“My fellow Democrats” he began, “I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Political Leaders’ Reactions To Biden’s Exit From The Presidential Elections
Opposition party’s Donald Trump commented on Biden’s exit and wrote, “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve — And never was! We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly.”
Kamala Harris’ statement regarding his exit read, “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination. Over the past year, I have traveled across the country, talking with Americans about the clear choice in this momentous election. And that is what I will continue to do in the days and weeks ahead. I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party — and unite our nation – to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. We have 107 days until Election Day. Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, stated that he extended his “heartfelt thanks” to Biden for “his friendship and steadfast support for the Israeli people over his decades-long career” and remembered his visit during wartime. “He is a symbol of the unbreakable bond between our two peoples,” the President added.
