CM Punk recently revisited a lesser-known moment from WrestleMania 22, where he made an unofficial early appearance in WWE. Punk recalled being part of the entrance during the main event between John Cena and Triple H, vividly describing the experience.

For the unversed, Punk was included in the entourage for Cena’s “Al Capone”-inspired entrance, hanging off the side of a vintage black car as the 17-time champion made his way to the ring in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

Punk said, “WrestleMania 22, Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois. I was an extra that day, and I rode to the ring on a gangster car. I stood outside the ring, and I watched Triple H and John Cena go nose to nose”.

CM Punk and Roman Reigns had a tense final face-off ahead of their WrestleMania 42 world title clash, trading sharp verbal jabs on Raw.

Punk reiterated that he may not come from a “royal family,” but acknowledged Reigns’ dominance, crediting him for headlining multiple WrestleManias and carrying WWE for years. Reigns, in turn, showed respect for Punk’s enduring popularity, noting how he remained beloved by the WWE Universe despite being away from the company for nearly a decade.

However, the tone quickly shifted as Reigns issued a strong warning, declaring that everything would come to an end at WrestleMania. He claimed the “experiment” would be over and that the chaos Punk has stirred up would finally be put to rest.
