World No. 1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka graced the cover of Vogue in a feature published on May 19, stunning in a sheer navy skirt and matching top for her debut shoot with the iconic magazine. The 28-year-old Belarusian, a four-time Grand Slam singles champion, swapped her on-court gear for a glamorous, fashion-forward look as she posed on a balcony overlooking the ocean.

The striking images showcased Sabalenka’s athletic physique and radiant sun-kissed style throughout the spread. The Vogue feature also focused on Sabalenka’s rise to the top of women’s tennis and the public attention that has followed her success on and off the court. The feature comes shortly after Sabalenka confirmed her engagement to Georgios Frangulis, founder of Oakberry, the global açaí brand that operates more than 800 stores across 50-plus countries.

According to an interview, Frangulis collaborated with a jeweler friend to design Sabalenka’s 12-carat oval diamond engagement ring. During a recent appearance with the Broadcast Boys on Instagram, Sabalenka playfully addressed the eye-catching ring after being asked if she had requested it herself. “No. I requested 14, but I got 12,” she said while laughing.

In the interview, Aryna Sabalenka discussed the criticism she has received online throughout her career, particularly on social media platforms. She said, “With a lot of love and a lot of attention and a lot of success, there’s always gonna be people who judge you. They judge your look, they judge your grunting, your nationality, even your private life, your choices.”

Sabalenka said she occasionally comes across negative comments online despite trying not to spend much time reading them. “I don’t scroll a lot, but sometimes I’ll see random comments on Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and I’ll ask my manager, ‘Do people really hate me that much?’” she shared.

She added that the atmosphere inside tennis stadiums has helped her separate online criticism from real-world support. “Then I go into the stadium, and I feel so much support, and I realize that on the internet, it’s so few people, but it’s so loud,” Sabalenka said.
