Randy Orton has laid out countless opponents with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment: RKO. However, at WrestleMania 42, Orton was unable to deliver that decisive blow against Cody Rhodes, ultimately falling short on the grandest stage of them all.
During WrestleMania weekend, Orton caught up with The Schmo and touched on a variety of topics. Among them was a fun and intriguing question: who he would most like to hit with an RKO. Orton didn’t hesitate to entertain the idea, and the name at the top of his list might just be electrifying.
Randy Orton Reveals He Has One RKO Left For The Rock

During the conversation, Randy Orton revealed that The Rock is at the very top of his RKO wish list. He also mentioned Stone Cold Steve Austin as another dream target, but made it clear that ‘The Brahma Bull’ holds the number one spot.
Orton said, “I’ve RKO’d everybody who wants to RKO, man! I RKOed Meat Loaf! I’ve RKOed everybody I wanted to RKO, but I haven’t RKO’d The Rock, and if, for some reason, all the stars were to align, Stone Cold is on that list, but I think The Rock would be at the top, for sure!”

While the idea of Orton sharing the ring with The Rock is undeniably massive, the two have rarely crossed paths over the years. A young Orton did appear in a promo segment with The Rock back in 2004, offering a brief glimpse of their on-screen dynamic.
They also found themselves on opposite sides at WrestleMania 20, where Orton teamed with his Evolution stablemates, Batista and Ric Flair, to take on The Rock and Mick Foley as part of The Rock ’n’ Sock Connection. Despite those encounters, Orton has never managed to land his iconic RKO on ‘The Great One.’
Randy Orton Shares Major Update On WWE Future And Retirement

During the same podcast appearance, Randy Orton also opened up about his WWE future, revealing that he still has four years remaining on his current deal with WWE.
Looking ahead, Orton hinted at a potential transition in his schedule once that contract runs its course, possibly taking inspiration from The Undertaker and his limited, marquee-event appearances.
Orton revealed, “I do have four years left on my contract and maybe when that’s over, I’ll get The Undertaker schedule and pop around for WrestleMania every year and then ride until the wheels fall off, literally”.
